Has Doriane Pin’s first F1 test already happened, or is it about to happen? Mercedes has issued a teaser!
Mercedes hinted on social media that Doriane Pin, the current F1 Academy champion, will be getting her first Formula 1 test with the Silver Arrows. The team shared an image of Pin in a Mercedes race suit holding her helmet in front of the W12 car that Hamilton and Bottas drove in the dramatic 2021 season. Pin signed with Mercedes in 2024 and has been involved in the F1 Academy programs before transitioning to an official development driver role. She has been spending time in the F1 simulator to support the team, a new experience for her. Apart from her duties with Mercedes, Pin is also competing in the ELMS and will be participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In a podcast appearance, she expressed eagerness for a real-life F1 test, stating she aims to be fully prepared to showcase her potential and ultimately secure a spot in Formula 1.
