McLaren reveal F1 team structure following shock Gianpiero Lambiase poaching
Gianpiero Lambiase has been confirmed to be joining McLaren, as stated by the Formula 1 team. Red Bull had previously announced Lambiase’s departure once his contract expires in 2028. McLaren revealed Lambiase’s new role as the chief racing officer in their team structure, to report to team principal Andrea Stella. This move aims to strengthen the talent pool and solidify McLaren’s position as a championship-winning team. The acquisitions of Lambiase, Rob Marshall, and Will Courtenay, along with internal promotions, showcase the team’s commitment to success. McLaren highlighted its strategic vision and culture under Zak Brown and Andrea Stella, both of whom are on long-term contracts. The team is eagerly anticipating Lambiase’s arrival upon the conclusion of his current contract, no later than 2028.
