After a wretched first two races for McLaren and the Australian driver, there has been a return to form in the last two grands prix.
Former Formula 1 driver Mark Webber believes McLaren will provide Oscar Piastri with a competitive car to challenge for the F1 drivers’ title this season.
Piastri had a strong start last year, leading the championship for a significant period after winning the Dutch Grand Prix.
Despite a strong early performance, Piastri faced a disappointing finish to the season with only three podiums in the last nine races, missing out on the championship title.
Webber, Piastri’s manager, acknowledges the early setback in Piastri’s career but praises his resilience and determination to bounce back.
Despite a challenging start to this season with two non-finishes, Webber remains optimistic that McLaren’s development will allow Piastri to compete for the world title.
