Verstappen Shines: Dominant Display in Nürburgring Qualifying Practice

If anyone thought Max Verstappen would start the Nürburgring 24 Hours quietly, they were wrong.

Max Verstappen achieved a top-three finish in the opening qualifying practice session for the Nürburgring 24 Hours, debuting in a Mercedes AMG-GT3 with Daniel Juncadella, Jules Gounon, and Lucas Auer.

Despite facing challenging conditions marked by yellow flags and a frightening crash, Verstappen managed to clock a competitive lap time of 8:18.539s, initially leading the pack.

However, the Verstappen Racing team slipped to third place by the end of the session, as Fabian Schiller in the second Mercedes-AMG GT3 took the top spot with a time of 8:14.957s.

Even though Raffaele Marciello also surpassed Verstappen’s time, rain disrupted the event in the final moments, preventing further improvements on the track.
