Max Verstappen is set to have another outing at the Nordschleife ahead of the 24-hour race later this year.
Max Verstappen will return to the Nordschleife for the qualifying races ahead of the 24 Hours of Nurburgring later this year, following his first successful outing last month. Despite winning his first race at the track, Verstappen and his team-mates were disqualified for a tyre use infringement. Verstappen’s entry into the 24 Hours of Nurburgring was confirmed, but now he will return earlier than expected on April 18 and 19. The cancellation of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix allows Verstappen to participate in the qualifying races alongside team-mate Lucas Auer. With his eyes set on more success after his first victory at the venue last year, Verstappen is already gearing up for the upcoming 24-hour race, seen practicing at the circuit just days after the Japanese Grand Prix.
