Max Verstappen expressed his reaction to Gianpiero Lambiase leaving the Red Bull team after serving as his race engineer since 2016. The duo has been highly successful in Formula 1, forming a strong driver-engineer partnership. Lambiase will be moving to McLaren in 2028 for a new challenge, bringing their working relationship to an end. Verstappen supported Lambiase’s decision, stating that he encouraged him to take the offer for the benefit of Lambiase and his family. Verstappen had previously linked his future at Red Bull to Lambiase’s presence but now seems prepared to continue without him.
