Adrian Newey will leave Red Bull early in 2025 to bring an end to his long association with the Milton Keynes-based squad.
Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko shared his theory on Adrian Newey’s departure from the team, attributing it to a feeling of being “burned out” after nearly 20 years of service. Newey’s reduced involvement will culminate in his complete exit from the company in early 2025. Despite Newey’s pivotal role in Red Bull’s F1 success, Marko expressed confidence in the team’s current technical capabilities under the leadership of Pierre Waché. While Newey has been linked to potential moves to Ferrari and Williams, Marko admitted to concerns about him joining a rival team in the future, especially given Newey’s historical performance during regulatory changes. Marko emphasized the importance of Red Bull’s existing technical team’s experience and knowledge in maintaining competitiveness until regulatory changes in 2026.
