2026 will mark Lucas di Grassi’s final season as a racing driver, with him having announced his retirement from motorsport.
41-year-old Lucas di Grassi has announced his retirement from motorsport, including Formula E, at the end of this year, marking the end of the Gen3 era.
Having competed in major world championships such as Formula 1, the World Endurance Championship, and Formula E, di Grassi helped pioneer the latter and advance the series.
Di Grassi believes that now is the right time to step away from racing and focus on contributing to Lola in different capacities post-retirement.
He sees the current transition period in Formula E as an opportunity for the championship to grow and evolve further, and his interest lies beyond driving a car.
Although his next career move remains undisclosed, di Grassi aims to continue adding value to motorsport outside the cockpit realm.
