Liam Lawson to Supercars during the April break? It’s the first he’s heard of it.
Liam Lawson addressed online rumors about him participating in Australian Supercars during F1’s summer break, which will have a five-week gap between races due to cancellations related to the ongoing Iran War. Some drivers, like Max Verstappen and Lance Stroll, have opted for GT3 racing to stay race-fit, while others, including Mercedes and McLaren drivers, have participated in 2026 Pirelli tire testing at the Nurburgring. Lewis Hamilton and Franco Colapinto undertook wet-weather testing and filming days, respectively. Despite speculation, Lawson denied the possibility of racing in Australian Supercars, mentioning it as a cool idea but clarifying that there was no truth to the rumors. He expressed interest in potentially participating in the future when he could dedicate more time to prepare for such an opportunity.
