Driving Towards Evolution: Lando Norris Unveils F1 Drivers’ Quest for Transformation

The F1 drivers’ lack of enjoyment with the new-for-2026 cars has sparked suggestions they should be more involved in the decision-making process.

Lando Norris acknowledged that F1 drivers lack understanding of the commercial factors behind rules and regulations, feeling “blindsided” by them.

F1’s regulations faced criticism from drivers, leading to discussions and changes for the Miami round in April, made without driver input.

Norris emphasized the drivers’ shared desire for close, exciting racing but recognized their limited insight into the business side of the sport.

He expressed support for drivers having a seat at the decision-making table, in line with the Grand Prix Drivers’ Association’s views.

Norris stressed the need for a collective feedback mechanism for drivers in an official capacity, rather than making demands.
