Verstappen himself hinted at the possibility of walking away from Formula 1 in 2026 due to dissatisfaction with the current power unit regulations. The Dutch driver has been critical of the new regulations, calling them “Formula E on steroids” and “anti-racing”. The impact of the changes made by the FIA, starting from the upcoming Miami Grand Prix, on Verstappen’s decision to stay or leave remains uncertain. Norris hopes that Verstappen, known for his talent, will continue racing in F1, as he wants to compete against the best. Nevertheless, Norris acknowledges that the decision ultimately lies with Verstappen, whose future plans are unclear.
