Lance Stroll has taken a leaf out of Max Verstappen’s book with a GT race during the impromptu F1 spring break — and he sought out the Dutchman, too.
Lance Stroll sought guidance from Max Verstappen before joining the GT World Challenge Europe at Paul Ricard this weekend. He secured a last-minute spot in Comtoyou Racing’s Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo alongside Roberto Merhi and Mari Boya. This opportunity arose due to changes in F1’s calendar and the Middle East conflict. Stroll’s conversation with Verstappen at Suzuka touched on GT racing, with both acknowledging the enjoyment of driving GT3 cars. Verstappen’s experience in Nurburgring Langstrecken-Serie also contributed to their discussion on the topic. Stroll’s unexpected entry into GT3 racing marks a new and exciting experience for the Canadian driver.
