Katherine Legge was involved in an early incident with Ryan Hunter-Reay.
Katherine Legge’s attempt to make history by completing Double Duty came to an end due to a collision with Ryan Hunter-Reay in the Indy 500.
During Lap 18, Hunter-Reay’s car spun out, causing Legge to swerve and ultimately hit the inside barriers, triggering the caution period.
She will now move on to the NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte, attempting to match Tony Stewart’s feat of completing both races in a single day in 2001.
Alex Palou currently leads the pack during the caution period, with a few other drivers opting to stay out, including Rinus Veekay and Romain Grosjean.
