The president of the Italian motorsport governing body has stated that they are close to reaching an agreement to continue hosting two Grand Prix races in Italy until 2030. Imola returned to the Formula 1 calendar in 2020 and has remained, while Monza has been the host of the Italian Grand Prix for most years. Both venues’ contracts are set to end after the 2025 season. The aim is to have a pre-contract signed before the end of 2024. Imola’s situation is clearer as they plan to modernize the paddock, while changes for Monza require discussions with the relevant authorities. Damiani also emphasized the importance of certainty, especially with the upcoming FIA presidency election and discussions about a new Concorde Agreement.
