The Chinese Grand Prix, introduced to the F1 calendar in 2004, holds historical significance for Red Bull, with Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo securing victories in 2009 and 2018, respectively. Horner highlighted the challenges posed by the circuit’s long corners and high-speed sections, known to be demanding on the front left tire. This year will feature the first ground-effect era F1 cars racing at Shanghai, coupled with a new track surface. The Chinese Grand Prix also marks the start of this season’s sprint weekends, presenting an additional test for the teams. Despite Red Bull’s early-season success, Horner anticipates a strong challenge from Ferrari in China based on their performances in previous races.
