Lola’s Zane Maloney is set to swap Formula E for a Porsche rally car at the end of May!
Zane Maloney is set to return to Rally Barbados for the first time since 2023, the Caribbean’s biggest motorsport event, on May 29–31. He will be driving a Porsche 992 GT Rally in the rally’s 19 stages alongside co-driver Luke Staffner.
Maloney’s participation in the rally is supported by Rock Hard Cement, Bushy Park Barbados, MJT FBO, Stone Atelier, Flo, and Maloney Racing. In his previous entry in 2023, Maloney won the Friday-night Sol Super Special at Bushy Park but crashed on the second day, ending his event.
Neil Barnard, the rally director, confirmed Maloney’s participation during a media briefing at Bushy Park. Barnard expressed that he is pleased to have Maloney competing both in King of the Hill and Rally Barbados 2026 in a Porsche 992 Rally GT. Maloney, a professional driver with Lola Yamaha in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, was the youngest winner of King of the Hill in 2022 at just 18 years old.
