Timo Glock was stripped of his Nordschleife license during the night from Saturday to Sunday. The former F1 driver committed a major violation.
Former Timo Glock has been disqualified from the 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours and stripped of his Nordschleife licence due to committing a significant violation during a night stint in his #69 McLaren with a 1995 Benetton livery inspired by Michael Schumacher.
Glock’s offense was driving at 112km/h through a Code 60 zone, leading to a severe punishment from race control as his second offence, resulting in his disqualification from the race and loss of licence.
The stewards’ report stated: “Timo Glock has received a penalty for the second time, resulting in the loss of his Nordschleife licence and disqualification.”
Glock must now reapply for his licence, retake the mandatory e-learning course, and meet requirements to compete in future Nordschleife races.
Meanwhile, Glock’s team-mates Kirchhöfer, Dörr, and Scheider were permitted to continue the 24-hour race without the former Toyota F1 driver.
