Revolutionizing Racing: FIA Unveils Landmark Changes to Formula E Event in Madrid

Formula E teams’ preparations for the upcoming Madrid E-Prix have changed dramatically following an FIA decision.

The FIA has confirmed that the upcoming Madrid E-Prix will include Pit Boost, marking a historic moment for the Formula E series.

Taking place at the Circuito del Jarama, just north of the Spanish capital, the circuit is the longest on this season’s calendar at 3.934km.

Originally scheduled as a 21-lap race without Pit Boost, the event will now see an increased distance of 23 laps with a single six-minute Attack Mode incorporated.

The inclusion of Pit Boost aims to enhance the quality of racing in Madrid and introduce a new strategic element to the competition.

This represents the first time that Pit Boost will feature in a single race event, as opposed to the typical double-header weekends seen in the previous season.

The decision has been positively received by Envision’s Joel Eriksson, who believes it will make the race more challenging and engaging for both drivers and spectators.
