The Scuderia utilized the break to analyze performance data from the first three races and introduce aerodynamic updates for the upcoming weekend. Vasseur expressed satisfaction with returning to the track after an unusual mid-season hiatus and highlighted the team’s intensive data study conducted in Maranello. Ferrari’s technical department meticulously reviewed telemetry and race data during the break to seek performance improvements in their pursuit to catch up to Mercedes. Charles Leclerc’s consistent podium finishes and Lewis Hamilton’s first podium for Ferrari added to the team’s optimism going forward into the Miami race weekend. Vasseur acknowledged the competition’s aero updates in Miami and stressed the importance of focus and making the most of the free practice session amidst the evolving competitive landscape. FP1 in Miami has been extended to 90 minutes by the FIA due to the extended break and regulatory adjustments.
