F2 Poised for Success: Major Breakthrough Leads to Crucial Talks

F2 races in North America are taking place for the first time this month. Could they be the forerunner to new deals being struck?

CEO Bruno Michel of F2 and F3 has confirmed discussions about a permanent return to North America after the recent breakthrough.

The cancellation of races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia enabled Michel to establish a presence in North America with F2.

Talks were already underway for a race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Canada to be added to the F2 calendar for 2027, but were accelerated by the loss of the aforementioned races.

Debuting in North America during the F1 weekend in Miami and Montréal showcased F2’s potential for excellent racing.

Michel mentioned ongoing discussions about potentially making Miami and Canada regular fixtures on the F2 calendar, highlighting the importance of having F2 races in North America for drivers and the series as a whole.
