After McLaren CEO Zak Brown voiced his unease over sister teams in F1, fans have concurred with his point of view.

Formula 1 fans have aligned with McLaren CEO Zak Brown in his criticism of sister team structures, rejecting the current rules allowing organizations to own multiple teams. Brown expressed concerns in April about A/B team arrangements, citing compromised sporting integrity due to such structures. Additionally, he highlighted worries about intellectual property violations and unfair competitive advantages from staff transfers between affiliated teams. According to a RacingNews365 poll, 39.09% of fans support the Red Bull ownership model, while 36.26% prefer maintaining the current regulations. Furthermore, 13.31% would allow minority shareholdings but ban full ownership structures, and 11.33% believe teams shouldn’t even be able to be power unit customers. Overall, 63.73% of fans are in favor of stricter regulations for team ownership in F1. Check out the complete poll results below!
