Doriane Pin has potentially a significant moment ahead of her in 2026, in the form of an F1 debut.
Doriane Pin is currently busy preparing for a potential Formula 1 test with Mercedes after becoming one of its official development drivers earlier this year. She joined the German manufacturer’s junior programme in 2024 and was supported by the Silver Arrows in her two F1 Academy campaigns. In 2025, she clinched the F1 Academy title before moving on to prototypes in 2026, competing in the European Le Mans Series alongside Julen Andlauer and Richard Verschoor, and also entering the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In addition to her racing commitments, Pin is also a development driver for Peugeot’s World Endurance Championship team, making her schedule extremely packed. Despite most of her F1 work for Mercedes happening in the simulator, Pin revealed on the Beyond the Grid podcast that she expects to test the real car in a private session this year, praising the simulator’s realism and its ability to provide valuable feedback that matches the real car.
