Christian Horner spotted in MotoGP paddock

Is Christian Horner looking to follow in the footsteps of former Haas boss Guenther Steiner?

Christian Horner was seen at the MotoGP paddock during the Spanish Grand Prix at Circuito de Jerez last weekend. He has been out of a motorsport position since being let go by Red Bull as team principal after the British Grand Prix last year. Horner has been rumored to be considering a return to Formula 1, potentially as part of a group of investors eyeing an investment in Alpine. Despite the speculation, no deal has been finalized, keeping Horner away from F1 for now. During the MotoGP event, Horner was spotted on the live broadcast in the Honda MotoGP team’s garage, engaged in a conversation with HRC president Koji Watanabe. Horner and Watanabe have a strong relationship established during Honda’s tenure as Red Bull’s power unit supplier. The F1 paddock has been showing increased interest in MotoGP, partly due to F1 owner Liberty Media’s involvement in the top level of motorcycle racing. In a recent move, former Haas F1 team principal Guenther Steiner led a consortium to purchase the Tech3 KTM team, stepping in as its CEO.
