Audi suffer triple-whammy Miami disaster ahead of qualifying

This is an absolute disaster for Audi, with a second pre-session set-back of the Miami Grand Prix weekend.

Gabriel Bortoleto is unlikely to qualify for the Miami Grand Prix due to Audi’s failure to resolve the issue that led to his disqualification from the Florida sprint race. As a result, the Brazilian driver is anticipated to miss the grid-setting session while Audi works on ensuring his car complies with F1 regulations. The FIA discovered that the engine air intake pressure exceeded the legal limit during the sprint, resulting in Bortoleto’s exclusion. He is expected to start P22 and last in the race, with the possibility of the FIA allowing him to compete without setting a lap time. Nico Hulkenberg will participate in qualifying after not being able to race in the sprint due to a power unit failure on his formation laps. In a surprising turn of events, Audi and Bortoleto managed to overcome the odds and take part in the Miami Grand Prix at the International Autodrome.
