Christian Horner remains without a role in Formula 1, could Audi be the perfect destination?
Former Formula 1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya has suggested Audi consider signing Christian Horner as its team principal, emphasizing that Horner’s accomplishments are often underestimated.
Horner, who led Red Bull for over 20 years and secured numerous championships, is currently seeking a return to F1 after parting ways with the team following the last season’s British Grand Prix.
Despite his success, Horner has yet to secure a new role in the sport, with rumors linking him to Alpine.
Audi, meanwhile, is in need of a new team boss following Jonathan Wheatley’s departure, leaving Mattia Binotto to temporarily handle the F1 project—a duty Montoya feels may not align with Binotto’s preferences.
Montoya strongly believes that Horner could excel in this role due to his proven track record, regardless of personal opinions about him.
In Montoya’s view, Horner’s experience and achievements make him a standout candidate for the position at Audi.
