Revving Up History: Audi’s Monaco GP Livery Honors Motorsport Legend

Audi’s first special livery in F1 pays tribute to a motorsport icon.

Audi’s first special livery in F1 pays tribute to motorsport icon Tazio Nuvolari, considered the greatest pre-Second World War driver. Nuvolari drove the famed Type D Auto Union cars which evolved into Audi, achieving victories in 24 grand prix races, the Mille Miglia, and Le Mans 24 Hours before his career ended in April 1950. In honor of “the Flying Mantuan”, Audi drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto will feature a special tribute to Nuvolari at the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend. Don’t miss it!
