Aston Martin reveal unusual cause of Fernando Alonso retirement
Aston Martin announced that Fernando Alonso had to retire from the Canadian Grand Prix due to an unusual reason. The team had a tough weekend at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve with various setbacks. Alonso crashed during sprint qualifying, and Lance Stroll started the race from the pit lane after a suspension issue. Aston Martin was fined for unsafe releases and had to change components for Stroll during parc fermé conditions. Unfortunately, Alonso had to retire mid-race because of a seat problem.
