Former Aston Martin team principal Mike Krack refused to provide a timeline for the Silverstone-based squad to introduce aerodynamic upgrades to the AMR26.
Mike Krack defended Aston Martin’s decision to attend the Miami Grand Prix without any aerodynamic upgrades, citing the rationale behind the choice. Despite Ferrari bringing 11 new parts, McLaren and Red Bull each introducing seven updates, and other teams also making developments, Aston Martin chose to stay put. Krack, the team’s chief trackside officer, pointed out the focus on reliability, reduction of vibrations, and drivability improvements. He emphasized the team’s significant progress despite their initial struggles and expressed the need to continue working on these upgrades. Krack refrained from giving a specific timeline for the aerodynamic developments but acknowledged the gap they need to close, emphasizing the ongoing nature of the team’s progress.
