The FIA has announced 11 drivers who will be taking part in this important initiative.
Eleven professional racing drivers have been chosen as ambassadors for the 2026 FIA Smart Driving Challenge to promote safe and sustainable driving among everyday drivers worldwide. The ambassadors will guide participants through the app, offering exclusive content and insights to improve road safety and reduce environmental impact while climbing the global leaderboard. Team members will receive performance statistics and guidance from their selected ambassador through the app and social media platforms. The diverse lineup includes drivers from various FIA World Championships, such as Yifei Ye, Edoardo Mortara, Yohan Rossel, Taylor Gill, Romet Jürgenson, Aliyyah Koloc, Hana Burton, Kelvin van der Linde, Malthe Jakobsen, Kajetan Kajetanowicz, and Tymek Kucharczyk. The challenge, now in its eighth year, utilizes Greater Than’s AI technology to evaluate driving performance, with last year’s participants achieving a significant reduction in CO2 emissions and demonstrating improved safety levels. The 2026 challenge will run until December, featuring seven heats leading to a live head-to-head finale between the top two drivers to determine the World’s Smartest Driver.
