Pascal Wehrlein won the Formula E season opener in Mexico City, but is currently being investigated for a technical infringement. He started from pole position and maintained the lead throughout the race. Sebastien Buemi finished second, while Nick Cassidy took third place in his first race for Jaguar TCS Racing. There was only one safety car period, caused by Robin Frijns’ crash. The race was relatively tame compared to Formula E’s usual standards, with no major incidents. However, the results of the Andretti Global team are also under investigation.
