Trackhouse Racing and Kaulig Racing have confirmed that Shane van Gisbergen will not participate in the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway because there are no plans for him to run the event. Van Gisbergen, who won the Cup Series race in Chicago last summer, is eligible for the All-Star Race. However, requiring a third car for van Gisbergen to compete alongside Ross Chastain and Daniel Suarez would be necessary. Kaulig Racing also stated that there will be no entry for van Gisbergen in the All-Star Race, as he races full-time with them in the Xfinity Series in partnership with Trackhouse Racing. NASCAR All-Star Race weekend is scheduled for May 17-19, with drivers like AJ Allmendinger expected to be entered, as he too qualifies for the race after winning the Charlotte Roval race last season. Van Gisbergen is one of the 18 drivers already qualifying for the All-Star Race by meeting the eligibility criteria, including winning a race in the 2023 or 2024 seasons.
