Yamaha opted not to test its prototype V4 engine at the upcoming Aragon MotoGP test following the struggles faced by their bikes at Silverstone and MotorLand tracks.
The V4 engine was designed to enhance straightline performance and rear grip, with limited public testing. Test rider Augusto Fernandez revealed little about the engines, confirming the focus on the inline configuration for now.
Despite recent competitiveness shown by riders like Quartararo, Yamaha acknowledges the need for further development highlighted by Quartararo’s remarks on missing grip.
While Quartararo hinted at trying out a new engine on Monday, specifics remain undisclosed with Yamaha keeping their plans under wraps, teasing fans with the element of surprise.
