In the morning stages of the rally, Evans took a 26.0s lead over Neuville in extremely wet conditions. However, Neuville put pressure on Evans in the afternoon but crashed on stage six, giving Evans a 50.9s lead over Toyota teammate Ogier. Rovanpera took third place after Neuville’s crash. Mikkelsen held onto fourth place in the WRC2 category. Katsuta, who had a damaged radiator earlier in the day, won all three afternoon stages.
