Italy is poised to continue hosting rounds of the World Rally Championship and European Rally Championship in the coming years, with plans for a long-term commitment in progress. Last weekend’s Rally Italy Sardinia concluded its current contract with the WRC. Italy, represented by events like Rally Monza and Rally Di Roma, is looking to solidify its place on the WRC schedule from 2026 onwards. Italy’s sports minister engaged in discussions during the recent event, highlighting the alignment between WRC and Italy for a sustained commitment. The WRC is aiming to finalize its 2026 calendar by July, with a focus on adding the USA to its schedule, pending FIA approval and ongoing discussions with relevant stakeholders.
