With 41 entries, one driver will fail to qualify for the NASCAR Cup race in Chicago

In a rarity for modern NASCAR, a DNQ will occur in this weekend’s Cup race at the Chicago Street Course, with five open entries competing for the final four spots on the grid. Among these open entries are drivers Will Brown, Austin Hill, Josh Bilicki, Corey Heim, and Katherine Legge.

Will Brown, racing for Kaulig Racing, is a standout Australian Supercars champion with one previous Cup start. Austin Hill, driving for Richard Childress Racing, has extensive experience in the Xfinity Series and has shown promise on road courses. Josh Bilicki, representing Garage 66 (formerly MBM Motorsports), is the most experienced Cup driver in this group and has proven his road racing skills.

Corey Heim, part of the 23XI Racing team, leads the NASCAR Truck Series and is making his sixth Cup start, although this will be his first experience at the Chicago Street Course. Katherine Legge, competing for Live Fast Motorsports, adds diversity to the field with her road racing expertise. These open entries will compete fiercely for a chance to qualify and showcase their talents in the upcoming race.
