United Autosports will run McLaren’s entry in the World Endurance Championship Hypercar division.
The team will compete with two LMDh hybrid prototypes under the McLaren United AS banner starting in 2027.
This move follows United’s success in the LMP2 division and partnership with McLaren in the LMGT3 class.
McLaren’s return to top-flight sportscar racing marks the 30th anniversary of its 1995 Le Mans victory.
Italian constructor Dallara will collaborate with McLaren on the LMDh development, featuring a twin-turbo V6 engine.
James Barclay will lead the McLaren Racing Hypercar operation, transitioning from Jaguar Formula E team principal.
The decision to work with United was based on their proven track record and close working relationship with McLaren CEO Zak Brown.
