With his family cheering him on, Scott Dixon delivered another impressive performance on Sunday at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, benefiting from a stroke of luck this time.
While Alex Palou seemed on track for another win, Dixon effectively managed his fuel on a two-stop strategy to move up to second place, setting the stage for a dramatic turn of events.
Palou’s mistake allowed Dixon to seize the lead with six laps to go, a lead he defended to claim his first victory of 2025 by a narrow margin of .4201s.
Despite Palou’s strong showing throughout the race, Dixon’s strategic driving and determination ultimately secured him his 59th IndyCar win and extended his streak of winning seasons to 21.
The podium was completed by Christian Lundgaard in third, followed by Colton Herta and Pato O’Ward in the top-five, while Dixon’s masterful performance highlighted the thrilling race at Mid-Ohio.
