However, one of the most spectacular displays of skill at a high level came in 2018 during a Moto3 race at Le Mans when Jakub Kornfeil made a remarkable save after using a lowsided bike as a ramp. Despite a career that culminated in the 2020 MotoE World Cup, Kornfeil retired from professional racing due to financial constraints in January 2020, continuing his racing in MotoSurf and mentoring young Czech racers. In addition to racing, he authored a book titled “Definice Sportu” in 2022.
