Despite their struggles, Gilles Villeneuve once put a Ferrari on pole at this track. Leclerc criticized the SF-25 car and the team’s inability to find solutions, pointing out the lack of potential. Both Ferrari drivers faced brake issues during practice, which seemed to improve on Saturday but still affected performance in slower corners during qualifying. Lewis Hamilton voiced his frustration about the lack of grip on the new tyres during Q2, highlighting the importance of optimizing tyre performance.
