Lando Norris acknowledged that the 2025 F1 title battle with McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri will be determined by minimizing mistakes rather than pure performance. Throughout the season, Norris struggled with errors such as starting out of his grid box in Bahrain and a costly qualifying crash in Saudi Arabia. Despite some mistakes, Norris managed to consistently finish on the podium, with a few exceptions like the race-ending collision with Piastri in Montreal. Piastri, on the other hand, has converted opportunities into poles and wins, benefiting from Norris’ errors. Both drivers faced challenges with the MCL39’s handling, making race weekend execution crucial in their title fight. Norris admitted to trailing Piastri in points and acknowledged the need to improve and minimize mistakes for a competitive edge.
