George Russell can finally celebrate his victory at the Canadian Grand Prix, as Red Bull’s appeal has been thrown out by race stewards, more than five hours after the chequered flag. The appeal was related to Russell’s behavior behind a late safety car, following a crash involving Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. Red Bull lodged several complaints, including claims of erratic driving and unsportsmanlike behavior from Russell. However, after thorough examination and deliberation with both drivers, the stewards rejected all of Red Bull’s claims, confirming Russell’s win. Mercedes successfully defended Russell’s actions, leading to the ultimate decision in favor of the British driver. As a result, Russell’s victory stands, marking a memorable moment in his racing career.
