The Austrian driver needed all the power he could muster in the intense battle against Jack Aitken’s Ferrari. Despite the mechanic offering him a soda bottle, Preining declined, knowing the potential penalties for extra weight in his racing suit. He finally emerged from his cockpit to celebrate with his team before heading to the weigh-in, ensuring his onboard water bottle did not impact his weight. The grueling race left both Preining and Aitken physically drained, with the latter humorously clutching a bag of ice cubes as his new best friend during post-race interviews.
