On the other hand, Team Penske faced setbacks that took them out of contention at Road America. Self-inflicted issues plagued the team throughout the weekend, with incidents involving Scott McLaughlin, Will Power, and Josef Newgarden. The team failed to capitalize on their promising starting positions, ultimately resulting in disappointing finishes for the Penske drivers.
