Honda MotoGP team is interested in signing Jorge Martin if he becomes available at the end of the year, as confirmed by team boss Alberto Puig. Martin is looking to leave Aprilia in 2025 by invoking a clause in his contract due to being unhappy with the RS-GP’s performance this season. Despite interest from multiple teams, Honda is a strong contender as Luca Marini’s contract expires this season. Puig stated that every team would be interested in a rider like Martin but underlined that they don’t sign riders with current contracts. Johann Zarco also seeks a factory move after a strong start to 2025, potentially creating competition for Martin at Honda. The Japanese marque, currently second in the championship, is considering expanding to six bikes on the grid next year, pending a decision from Japan.
