Revolutionizing Racing: Opel Unveils Cutting-Edge Electric Rally Prototype

Opel has unveiled its prototype Mokka GSE Rally, becoming the first manufacturer to develop an all-electric rally car under the new eRally5 regulations by the FIA.

The German manufacturer has been successful in electric rally car production with the Corsa Rally Electric, utilized in the ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup for five seasons.

The debut of the Mokka GSE Rally is set for ELE Rally Eindhoven this weekend, marking a milestone in electric rallying with the first car built to the FIA’s eRally5 regulations.

Offering strong performance and power, the Mokka GSE Rally features a peak output of 207 kW (280 hp) and 345 Newton metres of torque.

With enhanced safety measures like a special battery casing and a sophisticated sensor system for high-voltage shutdown, Opel aims to see the Mokka GSE Rally enter competition by 2026.
