Ram CEO wants Dodge to enter NASCAR Cup by 2027

Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis, during Kevin Harvick’s ‘Happy Hour’ podcast, confirmed the manufacturer’s Cup aspirations. Ram plans to re-enter the Truck Series in 2026 and the return of Dodge to Cup could happen in 2027. Kuniskis acknowledged that entering the Truck Series is simpler than the Cup Series.

He expressed optimism about being in Daytona with a Truck this year and potentially in Cup the following year. Kuniskis mentioned past missed opportunities for re-entry and emphasized the desire to expedite the timeline. NASCAR EVP John Probst indicated an 18-month timeline for Cup preparation. Dodge exited the Cup Series in 2012 as reigning champions. Ram’s specific 2026 plans, including teams and drivers, are yet to be disclosed.
