Pierre Gasly: Alpine in “much better place” at Imola GP despite crash with rabbit

Alpine Formula 1 driver Pierre Gasly described the 2025 Imola Grand Prix practice as the best Friday of the year, despite colliding with a rabbit which affected his running.

Gasly’s performance on the first day of practice showcased his form, clocking the third quickest lap time in the second session, behind the leading McLaren drivers.

He expressed satisfaction with the car’s performance and his comfort level, emphasizing the positive changes since the previous race in Miami.

Although hindered by the collision with a rabbit during FP1, Gasly managed to gather valuable data and finished sixth with a damaged car, attesting to his skill and determination.
