Pagenaud provides health update, status of returning to racing in 2024
After a vicious practice crash in July, the 39-year-old French driver has been on a break from competing in any racing events. Meyer Shank Racing had to rely on substitute drivers for the remaining races of the season. Tom Blomqvist has now taken over as the team’s full-time driver for 2024. The driver, Simon Pagenaud, took to social media and his website to update his fans about his recovery and uncertain return to racing. He expressed gratitude to the IndyCar safety team and mentioned that he has been working with doctors to regain his health. While he is unsure about his racing future, he remains optimistic and appreciative of the support he has received.
