Sebastien Ogier has taken the lead in the Acropolis Rally Greece despite facing punctures along with other crews in the World Rally Championship on a challenging Friday morning. After the morning loop, Ogier holds a 6.1s advantage over Ott Tanak from Hyundai, with Adrien Fourmaux trailing in third by 14.4s. Ogier shared the overnight lead with Tanak before tackling the rugged gravel stages on Friday, maintaining a strong performance despite dropping to third place momentarily due to the road cleaning effect. The rough conditions on the stages, caused by dry weather, led to multiple punctures affecting six Rally1 crews in stage four, including current champion Thierry Neuville. Ogier reclaimed the lead in the rally after stage four, despite also suffering a front left puncture towards the end of the stage, expressing satisfaction with his performance. The challenging conditions of the rally emphasize the unpredictability and risks involved, with teams facing tire issues and changing road positions throughout the event.
