Lando Norris was the fastest during the final practice session for the Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix, showcasing McLaren’s dominance in Spielberg. Norris skipped FP1 but set the pace in both FP2 and FP3, narrowly beating his teammate Oscar Piastri. The pitlane was empty when the session began, with drivers staying in their garages due to cool conditions that later warmed up. Norris had a few off-track moments, while Piastri almost spun out at Turn 9. Max Verstappen was the closest competitor to the McLarens in FP3, with Ferrari showing improvement and Red Bull’s Yuki Tsunoda suffering a spin. Ultimately, Norris led the pack ahead of Piastri and Verstappen in preparation for qualifying at the F1 Austrian Grand Prix.
